Position Summary
The Program Director serves as the academic and operational leader of FAE Foundation’s educational programs, overseeing the design, implementation, quality assurance, and strategic growth of the Foundation’s training initiatives for high school students. This role is central to ensuring pedagogical excellence, bilingual delivery, community impact, and coordination across volunteer lecturers and support staff. The Program Director acts similarly to a University Department Head—combining academic oversight, team leadership, student engagement, curriculum coordination, and institutional vision.
Key Objectives
- Ensure high-quality, bilingual educational programming aligned with FAE Foundation’s mission.
- Supervise and support volunteer lecturers and mentors.
- Coordinate curriculum, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies.
- Foster student engagement, growth, and leadership development.
- Contribute to strategic planning and stakeholder reporting.
Core Responsibilities
Academic Program Oversight
- Design and oversee semester-based course offerings in key subjects (English, French, Economics, etc.).
- Lead the development of a standardized, competency-based curriculum framework.
- Ensure coherence, relevance, and pedagogical quality across all academic tracks.
- Coordinate bilingual course delivery and resource creation.
Faculty Management & Training
- Recruit, onboard, and supervise volunteer lecturers and facilitators.
- Organize periodic trainings, pedagogical workshops, and check-in meetings.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to lecturers in course design, student engagement, and assessment.
- Foster a positive, mission-driven team culture.
Student Experience & Outcomes
- Monitor student engagement, attendance, and performance across programs.
- Implement feedback systems (student surveys, focus groups, etc.).
- Promote leadership, critical thinking, and personal development among students.
- Design and lead special academic events (e.g., public speaking competitions, seminars, Model UN simulations).
Quality Assurance & Assessment
- Develop and track program KPIs (student progress, lecturer performance, completion rates).
- Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to lecturers.
- Compile program reports and contribute to internal evaluations.
- Collect feedback, track impact, and suggest improvements.
Strategic Development & Partnerships
- Collaborate with FAE leadership to align programs with strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities for partnership with local schools, universities, and institutions.
- Represent the Foundation in academic, civic, and community forums.
Operational Coordination
- Create semester calendars, timetables, and class schedules.
- Oversee resource allocation (rooms, teaching materials, digital tools).
- Ensure smooth coordination between admin staff, lecturers, and volunteers.
- Manage internal communications and knowledge-sharing platforms.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in academic program management, teaching, or education leadership.
- Bilingual fluency in English and French (both written and oral).
- Strong organizational, mentoring, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
